At 49.3 percent of its workforce, this neighborhood has a greater concentration of government workers than 99.9 percent of U.S. neighborhoods.

Other residents here are employed in the military 21.8 percent and 19.4% in sales and service jobs, from major sales accounts, to working in fast food restaurants.

In the Hickam Village/Hickam Village neighborhood in Honolulu, HI, residents most commonly identify their ethnicity or ancestry as German 13.9 percent with 3.5 percent speaking the language at home. There are also a number of people of Irish ancestry at 8.9 percent and residents who report Mexican roots at 6.4 percent. Some of the residents are also of Asian ancestry at 5.7 percent, along with some English ancestry residents at 5.3 percent, among others.
