Hickam Court/Hickam Village real estate has a high concentration of rental units and an ideal community for property investors. Hickam Court/Hickam Village in particular stands out when compared nationally for the proportion of its working residents who are employed by the government. At 49.3 percent of its workforce, this neighborhood has a greater concentration of government workers than 99.9 percent of U.S. neighborhoods.

With 9.8 percent of residents in the Hickam Court/Hickam Village commuting on a bicycle to and from work daily, this neighborhood has more bicycle commuters than 99.3 percent of all neighborhoods in the U.S.

Whether walking, biking, riding, or driving, the length of one’s commute is an important factor for one’s quality of life. The Hickam Court/Hickam Village neighborhood stands out for its commute length. Residents of the Hickam Village neighborhood have the pleasure of having one of the shortest commutes to work of any neighborhood in America. 62.4 percent of the residents have a commute time from home to work of less than fifteen minutes. This is a higher proportion of residents enjoying a short trip to work than found in 96.1 percent of U.S. neighborhoods. Less time commuting means more time for other things in life.

In the Hickam Village/Hickam Village neighborhood, 57.0 percent of the working population is employed in executive, management, and professional occupations. The second most important occupational group in this neighborhood is government jobs, whether they are in local, state, or federal positions, with 49.3 percent of the residents employed. Other residents here are employed in the military 21.8 percent and 19.4% in sales and service jobs, from major sales accounts, to working in fast food restaurants.

In the Hickam Village/Hickam Village neighborhood in Honolulu, HI, residents most commonly identify their ethnicity or ancestry as German 13.9 percent with 3.5 percent speaking the language at home. There are also a number of people of Irish ancestry at 8.9 percent and residents who report Mexican roots at 6.4 percent. Some of the residents are also of Asian ancestry at 5.7 percent, along with some English ancestry residents at 5.3 percent, among others.
